Helena Fernández

Helena Fernández is physiotherapist, has a master’s degree in Neuroscience and a Ph.D. in Sports Science, Physical Education and Healthy Activity.

Her research deals with the kinematics and neurophysiology of gait in Parkinson’s disease, as well as rehabilitation strategies. She is a Lecturer at the University of Lleida and is a principal investigator of the Health Care Research Group (GRECS-IRBLleida), and a member of the Society, Health, Education and Culture Study Group (GESEC). She is currently working on a project that combines non-invasive brain stimulation and virtual reality in Parkinson’s disease.
